PURPOSE - DESCRIPTION

Software calculator for STRENGTH OF MATERIALS (SOM) for the FLEXIBILITY RESISTANCE of beams.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Types of calculations:

Type 1
- Data: Loads, Profile Type and Size, Length.
- Calculation of: Verification of Resistance.
Type 2
- Data: Loads, Profile Type, Beam Length Ratio, Length.
- Calculation of: sizing of the most suitable profile size.
Type 3
- Data: Loads, Profile type, Arrow, Length.
- Calculation of: sizing of the most suitable profile size.
Type 4
- Data: Profile type and size, Beam Length Ratio.
- Calculation of: the possible length.

Types of beams (including dimensional and mechanical strength data⁽¹⁾ incluses) :

Standardized profiles: IPE, IPER, IPN, UAP, UPN, HEA, HEB, HEM, T
Pipes ⁽²⁾ : T1, T3, T10, 141, various cylindrical pipes, various rectangular pipes.
Others

Beam support types: 2 single supports, 1 recess (left), 1 recess (left) + 1 single support (right), 2 recesses.

Types of loads: Distributed, Punctual, Complex, Torque.

Materials: Steel E24, Steel 25CD4, Lamellar graphite cast iron FGL200, Spherical graphite cast iron FGS 600 3, Bronze Cu Sn 8P, Cupro-Aluminium Cu Al 10 Ni S Fe 4, Duralumin AU4G, Alpax AS13, Brass, ABS, Rigid PVC, Phenolplast (bakelite) PF21.

Numerical results: Squared moment required, Deflection for each load, Total deflection, Deflection offset, Length/Deflection ratio, Stress.

Presentation of results: Excel graph (sent to spreadsheet), Calculation report (printer or PDF).

⁽¹⁾ Mechanical data includes: measurements, quadratic moment of aera, weight, Modulus of elasticity (Young modulus), Yield stress.

⁽²⁾ The pipes allow the weight of a filling liquid to be taken into account.

Install ZIP

INSTALLATION Program.

Allows automatic installation like any other Windows software. The installation will be done in the Windows system folders.

A choice of two versions is available :

A file with an ".exe" extension
- Advantage : Can be used directly after downloading, it's the easiest way to do it
- Disadvantage : Its download may be blocked (refused) by your Browser or Antivirus..
A file with a ".zip" extension
- Advantage : Less risk of being blocked (except by an abnormally fastidious antivirus).
- Disadvantage : Requires an additional step for unzipping.

GPX ZIP

Program WITHOUT INSTALLATION.

Solution available for experienced users. NOT recommended for uninformed users.

Designed to be placed in any folder on the computer (on any disk) without any installation procedure. Allows direct execution from this folder. The selected folder must be empty.

ATTENTION : The launch shortcut will have to be created manually by the user.

As with the program "with-installation", there are 2 versions: "exe" or "zip". The purpose, advantages and disadvantages are the same.
